Hello WJ member,

I wanted to ask if it is legal to store and allow public access to firmware files on a VPS. Like stock firmwares, custom ROMs etc..
The files may vary in size from 1MB to 1GB. Assuming that the VPS is providing fair amount of BW and Space, will it create any issue?

Thanks

Ok we know the average size now, but how many of these files are you going to store on there?
If we are not talking about lots of gigs it should not be a problem.

Not allowing public upload. Only private upload of Custom ROMs and Stock Kernels of a specific device. Might occupy maximum of 5GB. I just want to know will the VPS provider suspend the VPS for eating up BW.

you should read vps provider's TOS before buying :) you should choose a vps provider which don't have hidden bandwidth usage conditions ;)

No provide should suspend for using given resources such as quoted bandwidth. If there is, there are major problems and usually applies to "unlimited".

Stock ROMs can cause complaints from official vendors. But it really depends on your hoster. We have no issue with that. And all resources are dedicated, including traffic.
