Buying Logo for Gaming Guild/Clan

We are interested in purchasing a $5 logo/graphic design.

We will give additional "tips" if our administration team likes your logo.
The base price is still $5, but we may give anywhere from $10-$100 extra ONLY if your logo is extremely satisfactory and meets our standards.

Here's what I would be looking for:
-Unique
-Easy to read font
-Works on both light and dark backgrounds
-Preferably made in Adobe Illustrator (.ai file), so we can scale it up/down for different purposes. PSD files will work fine too if you can make them big.

Yes, I did (but wasn't very complex). He said he liked the design and requested me to show the design. I showed hm and asked for the payment.
He said he was in his class and pay after the class, but since then, he's still in the class
