It all depends on your rank and what you submit. For example. On Katz they from what I see and experience get a lot of Movie and TV show downloads.
MechoDDL has a history (which is slowly changing since I've started working on it) of sending more traffic to Applications and Games particularly apps. This is because MechoDDL ranks high for a lot of keywords like Crack, Keygen, serial etc from ages ago.
So if you submit the latest movie to MechoDDL and are a one star site then you may only get 10-20 views as everyone goes and looks at the 4-5 star sites who have uploaded the same movie and will receive all the traffic. If you submit a game or application then your more likely to get more downloads. eg. IDM (Internet Download Manager) will get you about 300 views even as a 1 star site.
Totally depends on loads and loads of things. I really had no idea how much different things were involved until I started helping out on MechoDDL.
But ya submitting to about 4-5 DDL sites does help. Even if they are only gaining link backs that Google can follow to your site it's really good for helping your Organic Traffic.
NexusDDL and MechoDDL are both growing and growing strong and steady. Neither are near as big as Katz but they are slowly catching up on Phaze. It's like how Hotfile over took Rapidshare. It didn't happen overnight but took a few months. Same thing. These things take time but ask yourself are you going to stick with Rapidshare (Phaze) or going to move to Hotfile (MechoDDL) ?
