IPB 3.1.4 To vB 3.8.x

Since IPB 3.1.4 is eating up too much CPU and memory resources

Is it a good idea to covert it to vB 3.8.x stable version ??

Can anyone provide me with working impex to convert IPB to vB

BTW since vB 3 series will be off the support then also is there anyway to stay off from getting DMCA

You'll always get DMCA if you get checked by vBulletin, it's not because a software is stopped being updated/supported that it means it becomes a FreeWare :P

For the Impex, I don't think you'll need the latest version because it's probably to convert to vB4, here's a link to a trusted release:

i would rather suggest u to move to vps or a dedi instead of converting to vBulletin!!

I mean I`m also having a IPB forum & my shared hosting is awesome..
Change your host.

Remove useless plug-ins & make it simple & sober...

Most shared hosts frown on anything above 0.9 and that 1.26 is what they cry about. 200 users using 1.26 don't make it?

Mysql searches, updating instantly and other features need to be optimized for shared hosting. Extra keys and for sessions in IPB change to cache if memory available.

It also has few problems

1. Search dont work at all
2. Most important when i code a link it breaks down into 2/3 lines and never in 1 line (why is it so ?? )
