'None of the above' are simple 3 sites I found on google.
Steam community have payed staff. I am sure those guys make more than 300$ per month.
Facebook, twitter, stumbleupon, digg, reddit...as I said, billions.

You never seen 300$ in your life? Looks like a fortune to you? Btw, 300 was an example

There are forums making 10K-100K a month, no one needs amateurs, to clean forum from spam, they need payed staff, that does their job, like it's stated in contract. But you got stuck your head in warez, not knowing what's there on internet.
Only 1% of all money, is OFFLINE. 99% of all money, is on the internet.

OK back on topic. (USA example)

Yes if you have a company or individual that has a site that is for profit it should be paying taxes.

Therefore if you are hiring any staff and paying them you would report their income as an independent contractor. That way your income is smaller and taxes are smaller.

As an independent contractor they are required to pay taxes. You send them a 1099 at the end of the year.

I know several xxx and one gaming site I work for occasionally that send me a 1099.

And I think you all have heard of google and yahoo. They have many contractors and sub-contractors working for them.
