Hello, guys. I have one question. How much will cost me to start a new forum?

A mean script, host, domain, just everything? How much? But, please, give me the cheapest solution...

then i would have got host > choose the best one is shared section here

then install ur script

get a domain from name.com = $10
get a host from bluehost(legal site) or knownsrv(warez related site) = $5
get a free script like phpbb =$0

total=$15~

My tip:

Internetbs.net for .com .net or .org

Namecheap.com for .info

.com domain from internetbs whit a decent host will cost you around 14$ first time setup.

info domain at namecheap youll get it for 9$ whit a decent host :)


for the forum script.

vbulletin is the best/cheapest option and it costs 100$

if you want free forum try phpbb or mybb ;)

Honestly i found your comment a little offensive as i personally have purchase
a vBulletin license for a site i will be working on and i also have a Xenforo
license and a IPB license reason i buy these license is to protect my site
from getting taken offline as even if you are on a offshore host and you
get a DMCA request to remove the script you have to, then what?

as far as i know its around 195$

and the second this is this you can get .com/.net for 9$..no point buying .info it only costs 2$ < at godaddy most of them r two

seriously dude are you expecting him to buy license worth kinf of like 200$..don't think so..may be he can buy license when his/her site is popular..no point buying license from day one :P

You can use phpbb or mybb script for warez forum...it's totally free...

domain: from namecheap.com - 1.99 to 11 USD
hosting: warez-host.com / hosting24.com - 4 USD - 70 USD

I don't suggest VPS cause for fresh webmaster, it will be little difficult to maintain forum in VPS.

use a free Forum script i.e PHPbb, coz you get tons of templates(both free and premium)
Estimates
domain~10$
basic host ~4$
good host(4 warez)>10$

best estimates 14$
Worst estimates >20$

Domain: Get a .com - I will suggest go with Namecheap - $10/year [MAXIMUM]

Script: You can go with MyBB or phpBB, or any other script, but there is no point if you dont spend some cash on making it look good, my advice would be, get a Wordpress blog if you want to start off with. Its easy to handle and there will be no chance of spamming if you close the registration, and even then only YOU will get good hits. Start off with those free skins, if you search properly, you may even get premium ones for free. [Can count a rough $20 here, depends on which path you go for]


Host: There are hundreds of new hosts opening up every day, even here in WJ. If you check the hosting section, you will see what I mean. Go for some one who is really a company, not some nerd sitting in front of the screen calling themselves a "company". I'll suggest go with knownsrv, as Krun!x is this guy, who'll take care of his customers individually, I have not been around him much, but I never saw anything wrong with his service for the last one and a half years I've been around

Or else, you can go with Motionite, as Ive seen they give good service too. As a person working in a data centre I can assure you, any one can give you any price for any hardware. Configs of today used to be far cheaper a year or two back. So do your home work on this the most. Take a day off, go through Google and tear it down, and make an Excel file with every detail. Coz you will be paying money for it, no one's gonna gift you a good service. Go through the threads here on WJ and read the comments.

You are such a retard. Tons of people buy the Vbulletin license because they want to start up a legit site.

Anyway, the cheapest solution is indeed around 20$. I take it you're not lookign to start up something serious so yeah the options given in here would be good enough for you but if you want to start up something really serious you'll have to spend 200-300$.
