One of the biggest reasons why people fail to make any dough online is because they run around in circles hunting down the next shiny object instead of concentrating on just one or two things and then becoming really proficient at them.

There are various ways to make money over the internet, such as running a blog, SEO, email marketing, article marketing etc and they all work. However they all require work. Too many newcomers might go and create 2-3 articles, submit them to a few directories, make no money and then go around declaring that online marketing doesn't work.

The key is to choose one topic of IM that interests you the most and get great at it since the more you enjoy something, the more likely you are to learn more and get mastery over that area.

This is what worked for myself. What do you guys think?

quite true..
most people want easy money but they invest no time on their activities and give up too fast !

Every business starts with investment ! in this case you have to invest your time and full focus on one field and keep going !! those who stick to a field and becomes adept and professional at it, are the ones who make the real money ! once you distinguish yourself from the group of newbies and step into the field of Pros thats when the market and big client will come to use your service !! the initial effort is the most important factor, once you start rolling the rest is much easier !

That's for sure, that people just don't bother to read the full episode before they plunge into something and come out nowhere blaming the system itself. Internet marketing requires a lot of research and hard work which can fit you to earn millions from it. But if one thinks to become a millionaire overnight will lose whatever they have.

So it is always advisable to learn the thing first before you go into it and start your work. The experience can earn you more.

Personally, I think that there should be a limited time dedicated only to studying the marketing map, and place your camp somewhere in the most valuable areas, but only somewhere where you are being able to continue your market for at least a year with constant struggle and absolutely no income. And only if you're mentally ready for that, only then you should start with your market, and only if you're sure it will work out and make some bucks. And, most important, some constant bucks...
