Hi Everyone

Im building a site for people to stream mp3s rather than download them. As it stands, the mp3 files would be around 20 to 25 GB, i dont know if this can be said as small..:). Obviously, they would need some place safe and reliable (and maybe cheap? relatively). Would anyone suggest me any good hosting for my site?

Thanks.

all those mp3 files will be copyrighted..
pain in the ass to host them xD

Your website won't survive long ...

edit : on topic .. i have no clue where to HOST warez xD

Yea that would be classed as actually hosting warez and it will be very hard to find a host willing to do that

yeah and a host able to keep up 25 GB of copyrighted material is a hero ..

only with rapidshare trafficschare you could do that shit you want to do ..

but that's expensive shit..

i could host ur mp3 site for a small fee per month, whats ur budget? my server is in NL, dont worry its not worlstream, it's an ecatrl so should be ok as i host warez privately for 4 months also i use too host http://www.deezer.com/ til they got too big then the owner pllaned too move on his own server..

he will offer the mp3's in public ..
that kinda sites eat Bandwidth , CPU and are high risk to you ..
it's not a private site ..

well not offering an unmetered plan and as he states 25 gb of mp3s, i wouldnt think so... maybe i can give a plan like:

12 gb space
240 gb bandwidth

but i need to know what his budget is, + http://www.deezer.com/ used 30 gb + mp3s.

Hi guys,

Thanks for feedback. I am totaly new on this, im thinking to sort of split the files and have them on several hosts rather than puting all eggs in one basket.

he will offer the mp3's in public ..

yes, but it wont showing all mp3s.

Now correct me if im wrong, or perhaps i am missing something due to my lack of experiences. Those people who upload mp3 and sometime parts of movies or TV programs in Youtube, why many of them still active? Those are streaming, and many of them viewed by thousands of people. Its true perhaps youtube got a massive storage or what have you but what about on the legal side?

Chris2009, send me your pitching to my privatemsg, perhaps we could work something out, money wise..
;)
