The server is down so it hasn't been able to forward the E-Mail to me and I can check it on the server, because the server is down
 
Oh sry, I thought you could check it in your Gmail but didn't thought that the Gmail only receive e-mails from your server, my fault :facepalm:

I do not know how long it will be until my data center answer my ticket.

I've just bumped the ticket but I doubt that will make the slightest bit of difference.

ive had a lot of dif servers over the last year
and for the most part they only go down when someone reboots them
and then only for a few min
unless his has picked up a virus it's likely to be pretty stable
 
Pretty certain it isn't anything to do with a virus.

I think there maybe a faulty piece of networking hardware within the server but there is nothing I can do. I don't have any remote access options such as KVM or Remote Reboot, so I can't even try anything.

I would change data center but majority of my clients all want DMCA ignored hosting.
 
yea DMCA ignored is pretty important

im more interested keeping my true identity hidden
and though new to this end of things I expect the 2 are highly connected hehehe
 
It appears this is the price we all have to pay by having a DMCA ignored server.

HiloHost has also teamed up with another party who specialises within the VPN industry and will be selling VPN's at 3$ each.
 
how much HD, Port speed, and bandwidth

$3 is insainly LOW
im currently paying about $325 (though that's for 6) and for RDP not VPS
but still $3 is extremely low

I am looking for a cheaper way to move my files around
im paying $250 a month for about 4.25TB of space and a Giga port (1,000MBPS)
 
There is no HD as it is a VPN, port speed is 1Gbit and Bandwidth will be unlimited.

Update: All IP's near HiloHosts' IP block are down, I am assuming this is a router issue or a power issue within the same cabinet as HiloHosts' server.
 
I realise we wouldn't be getting a FULL disk
but as I recall when I tried VPN about a year ago (was paying $30 for 300GB on a 100MBPS port back then)
my account showed my space as an HD

anyway call it what you like
how much storage space are you going to be offering for that peddle $3
 
How would you want to access the HD space, via FTP? I might be able to arrange a good deal for you.

Also what do you intend to do with the space? (Feel free to PM me if you do not want to disclose this information)
 
I would need a windows environment
using download programs to get files from RS
and zoom to upload to other file hosts
I also use renaming programs

I HATE rapid-leach
have to keep your browser open the hole time it is running
and get endless fails

as for the use of HD space
I would be downloading files re uploading them and then deleting them from the HD
it would be temp storage only

say have you ever heard of

I just learned of it a little while ago
it seems to work in a webpage system but you don't have to keep your browser open while it works
just put in a bunch of download links and the host you want to upload to then it will auto download and upload

the person that told me about it also said it can't auto delete and move on to the next group
I think she is likly wrong but I never got a responce to my email

IF you could get that setup on your server
IF it can be set to delete finished files and then move on to the next (say set it to do 10,000 files working 25 at a time)

then I would not need more then a simple webpage interface and about 25-50GB of space
man I would love that thing just set it and forget it, in a few days my hole collection wound be uploaded to a new host
 
It appears you would be better off suited with a VPS, HiloHost will do VPN's but I can't add VPN's until my business grows.

a VPN is used to route your IP through a different machine, similar to using a proxy within a browser but your IP will be completely tunneled in applications with a VPN.
