Google Webmaster Verification

When trying to verify my website, it says that it failed. I have uploaded the HTML file and I tested the url. The problem is that google is unable to connect to my server. Atleast according to the log. Any ideas?

thats probably ur site server is down?
and what you are opening is cache
try clearning ur cache and confirming that your site is up and that link is accessable

Can u open that file via your browser ? if its redirecting then u have to place rules in .htaccess to open it
or
use the meta tags method :D

download html verification file and upload ur site directory then u verify ur site

I have cleared the cache and that solved the problem. Thanks to all of the above for the suggestions. Very much appreciated!

it may be due to cookies at your browser

Some time web hosting sevrices are down so this cause not add and remove any thing . so i suggest you create again and then upload this HTML in your main web root directory.

If you are using wordpress or blogger you can do it easily don't know bout other platforms.
