Before I actually commence this giveaway, there's a couple points I need to outline.
Q) What's the catch?
A) None, really. With the exception of the hosting rules (below), there is no other catch.
Q) 3 Months?
A) 20 winners. Each winner gets the same spec VPS for 3 full months. After those 3 months, the winner can choose to either drop/cancel the service or continue it at the regular price. No contracts, no limitations, no subscriptions. It's your choice, and yours alone.
Rules:
These VPS'es are located in a US datacenter. While the legality of warez linking in the US is debatable (JmZ and myself have proved countless times that warez linking sites fall under the safe harbor clause of the DMCA as long as they comply with take down notices), I am not going to disallow it. Beyond that, you judge whether you want to host a warez linking forum/blog on this. Do remember, though, that DMCA notices absolutely must be complied with. In addition to this:
- Do NOT host nulled scripts. That's synonymous to hosting warez, not linking to it.
- Do NOT host sborg/rapidleech, etc etc. They're OpenVZ VPS'es and resource intensive scripts CAN negatively impact the host node.
- Absolutely NO spam related content (email spamming, etc).
- Nothing that is illegal. Remember, warez linking is unethical, but not entirely illegal. It borders on legality, I'd say.
VPS Specs:
The Game:
Quite simple. Unlike where you can pick a random number from a list of given numbers, in this case, you have no control over what number you pick. To enter, simply reply here. You can reply with anything, but I would appreciate that you don't spam; try to keep it constructive. Every post in this thread is given a number, automatically. The post number, is the number assigned to you. A real-time list will not be maintained, but will be revealed once all numbers have been taken. A volunteer will be selected to do the Random.org raffle via teamviewer.
Do remember, that spamming here (multiple posts) will result in me permanently excluding you from this giveaway as well as any future giveaways of mine. More than one post by a given member will not be taken into account. So if you reply twice with your post numbers being 2 and 4, only '2' will be taken into account for the purpose of the draw.
