the forum ids you will see it on the url, like you post this thread in "Technical Help Desk Support" section when you visit the section you'll see a link like

http://www.wjunction.com/forumdisplay.php?f=53 the "53" is the id do you see the id after "f=" ? whenever you visit any section or just hover your mouse over the section it will show you the url and the id will start after "f=" then there will be numbers like 1 or 44 or 164 etc.. thats the forum id, few sites removed forum ids when you visit them you will not see the id you'll see /Applications etc.. so to get the forum id just visit the section --> New Thread and you'll see yourself the forum id

thats it :)

It is a number that each section has. For example:

General discussion section have ID number 5, and Polling Plaza have ID number 43. How do we know this ? Well, open this two sections, and check this numbers in url:

Code:
http://www.wjunction.com/forumdisplay.php?f=[COLOR="Red"]5[/COLOR]
http://www.wjunction.com/forumdisplay.php?f=[COLOR="red"]43[/COLOR]

Red numbers = forum ID :)

thanks for the replies they are appreciated

just looked on one forum and it came up with this "php/29-" so i presume thats the same as

php?f=43 as on here

and if you cant see the forum linmk because of SEO links just click into the forum and do post new thread, then it will be visible again
