Filehosting download script issue (PHP CODE)

I use this class to make a download link. (see attachment)
I want to count how many bytes downloaded after that the connection closed.
Additionally, I want to update the DB. I have a counter column, and I want to increase it in one.
The second thing isn't a problem, but when the user uses Download Manager (like IDM) - it's make it from 0 to 10, because there are 10 connection.
