DLE Search Cloud Module

For Download: The Datalife Engine Recent Searches / Search Cloud Module
What it does: It records the search activity on your Datalife Engine Site and shows them as recent Searches
What is Required: All you need is a MySQL database and a site that runs using DataLife Engine CMS.
The Price: FREE

Advantages

1. As it records new searches automatically, Whenever a user searches on your site, a new link appears (as good as a new page) in the Recent Searches Section. Google will index this page and more such pages. If 2000 searches record on your site everyday, you get 2000 new pages (excluding the duplicate searches as Duplicate searches are automatically grouped)
2. Great for SEO, as the links are Search engine friendly. You can customize the links as much as you want.
3. Also records the IP address of the user who is searching. This helps you to prevent Spamming of the Recent Searches Section. For example, if a user searches for a keyword that you think is "bad", you can easily identify his IP address, and issue a warning from the admin panel or permanently ban him.
4. No link will yield a 404 error page even though the search results in no results.

I create a Code for creating XML sitemap for search links. I know that sitemap cant be bigger that 50K links. That is why I put 50K limit.

I will create a code for sitemap index soon.
 
Hmm..One problem which I would like to tell,to use this module you must enable search type SIMPLE.You can't use it if u r using search type TEXT Through.So it will be better if u make it working both type..Cuz people use a combination of search term while searching and in SIMPLE search it only searches title..
So as suggestion make it working under both modes..:)
 
Hey mate can u just include instructions how to upgrade to this version or just give fix for that nbsp problem in old version.. Coz i dun wanna drop that table again and follow whole procedure again as i dun wanna lose already indexed google links... So plz mention hw to fix tht..

If you want to upgrade from older version just rewrite searchcloud.php with new and then do changes to index.php file and main.tpl files only. That is it
 
OK I work on this very long and I need help to finish this.

How to put search results in cache.php file????? Once I talk with one webmaster - he have big dle site (500K+ news) and he told me that if I am going to create php file and put cache in it that server will crash :)

So I don't know what to do and What would I put in cache - I mean all HTMLs or just news IDs or what links IDK...

Please help and thank you
 
installed on my DLE 9.3 using website with some modification (date and priority in genereated xml). Working like charm and giving result like ^Raven needs. Thanks John
 
Hello friends.. i know it is very old post but since filesonic links are dead and I need this module for some testing purpose so I am here to ask you all that if any of u have backup copy of this module then please share with me...
