Hello guys,

Can someone tell me the difference of Uplink Port Speed between:

1 x 100Mbps Full-Duplex

and:

1 x 1000Mbps Full-Duplex

The server will be more faster? Will websites open more faster as well?

Well 1000Mbps Full Duplex is 10x faster than 100Mbps Full-Duplex. So basically to cut this short, yes you will see better speeds and performance with the 1000Mbps Full-Duplex Port.

You have to remember it is not only the speed of your uplink that will make your site run faster, it is your server resources, CPU, RAM, HDD Speed. Keep those in mind also.

Yes. File Transfer will be much faster if another server has also 1000mbps.

Not really.
Most visitors do not have more then 100Mbps at home and also sites are not so big to have difference in speed of loading. This metter if only you have many sites or heavy-loaded sites as well with much media/videos on them.

100Mbps = 12 Mbps Transfer Rate if you will download or upload
1000Mbps = 128 Mbps Transfer Rate if you will download or upload

As you told in other thread you want it for bacup.
So it will be fast then 100Mbps.

But i think 100Mbps is fine. there is no need to take bacup in 2 , 3 min,

For 100GB bacup it will take approx 2-3 Hours. ( For 100Mbps )

For 100GB bacup it will take approx 13 Min Approx. ( For 1Gbps )


And for Website 100Mbps dedicated is fine.
But its really depend on traffic of your website.
