A Question About paypal.

Hi,

I want to know that is it safe to display paypal button on the warez site to recieve donations. I have read in another thread that ultima lost 3 or 4 of his paypal account using this but i have also read on katzforums that one of our friend who got his paypal restricted using it on warez site was told that his paypal was restricted because he was not using age verification on porn section.

Ultima have porn section also on warezscene. So all i want to know is that whether it is porn which is the culprit or warez site. BTW I don't have any porn section.

Sites such as Warez-BB have had their PayPal accounts locked (hence they don't receive donations).
It's warez that's the culprit, but porn may enhance it.

In PayPal's AUP, Adult material isn't allowed.
 
Theoretically they can't block your Paypal account if you are selling a membership status, in this context this would be the Donator status that shows higher respect in your community. however if they find any trackback of porn comming into the matter they will permanently limit your account

Adult content is also another reason Paypal uses to ban your account.
They call it "mature content"

Don't publicly display your Paypal button or address, get users to pm you
 
ive had a paypal payment system for over a year now
touch wood no problems as yet

but yer they ban way to easy for infringment of TOS
 
But If They havn't mentioned warez in their AUP then how can they ban you. I have already stated that i don't have a porn section on my forum and i am not in mood to start it sooner or later.
 
I had attempted what Tippie said, alas that also failed.

I linked to a website which sold "recipes in book form".
They were conveniently priced my VIP plans.

They still locked it :(


I don't understand PayPal's logic to be honest. lol
 
Your account wont get locked if you're not stupid. If there is a complaint with someone from a fraudulent account sending you funds, then help paypal to the fullest. Send them screenshots of the users I.P and let them know that you have the intention of helping them resolve the issue.

As long as you aren't actively participating in illegal activities your account is fine. Trust me. I've had 10-20 complaints and the name on my account is USA Warez, lol. Should tell you something right there :).

Only time that ANY of my accounts has gotten locked is because of these reasons: Multiple I.P Addresses accessing the same account multiple times, Participating or thought to have been participating in fraudulent activities, or went negative when someone requested a refund.

Also it doesn't hurt to go advanced and get the PP Premium Member debit card. It will reduce the chances of your account getting locked dramatically, IMO.
 
Just in case, I use random accounts I make which are unverified and transfer the money to another verified account.

Depends on what exactly that you are doing. If you are sending money to multiple accounts that are recognized as logging in with the same i.p and the accounts that you are sending from ever receive any type of problem, paypal will extensively look into the matter. Which then you risk not one, but all of your accounts getting locked by paypal.

Money always leaves a trail, sending to multiple accounts in multiple names doesn't mean a damn thing. You're dealing with a billion dollar corporation here :zthir6:
