Hello to all wjunction members. I´m here requesting help from all you to betatest my new tool.

1- What is X-feeder?
X-Feeder is a wordpress autopost desktop tool, that extract data from other blogs feeds and repost in our blog using XML-RPC. Some of you perhaps are thinking in many wordpress plugins (wp-robot, etc...), but this plugins aren´t focused on warez community, X-Feeder will be developed for warez users.

2- Requirements?
X-Feeder runs into windows machines (Xp, Vista, 7) and needs installed .Net framework 4 (you can download it at microsoft).

3- Is it free?
The tool is into a very early beta stage and is free at the moment for everyone but future versions not will be free.
Those webmasters and people that help on testing of the tool will get his license for free, this is why i make this post into a early stage to allow webmasters add his opinions, feature requests, bugs... and at the end get free license for his contribution.

4- Limitations?
Into beta development version is only possible extract posts from 5 feed sources (this limitation will be removed when beta development stage suced).
At the same time since the tool is in early stage is limited byitself in many ways.
It only works with standard wordpress rss feeds, if the feed was customized and use non-standard tags X-Feeder not works (this limitation will be covered in future releases).


5- Can i request features?
Yes, i need to know about your needs to develop a better tool.
Accepted features will be collected and added to the queue and will be covered at any update.

Over next days a new version will arrive with new features:

- Load/save feeds into xml files.
- Engine to remove or replace words from the body of the posts before repost them (replace source blog urls with our blog url included).
- Engine to remove or replace words from the title of the posts before repost them.

Perhaps you guys can help me testing the tool and reporting bugs, those that help will get free license of the tool.

So you've developed another method for people to steal content and post it as their own? It just means that people can go out there and replicate other peoples hard work with even greater ease. As well as the fact that the links die faster, so nobody actually wins.

At least when people complain and ask why my sites RSS feed is not set to display the complete post, or why as massive swarm of links have been removed, I can point them in your direction.

At the moment no, if this option is requested by several people will be added, as i said the tool is under development, webmasters should show their needs.

At the moment only do content yes, but in future (can´t guarantee 100%) if is requested by people why not download and reupload or integrate with torrents to download/upload... but this stuff will be later steps.
 
OK before I download this I'll share my initial thoughts and then later review after testing.

Their is already a wordpress plugin that does this. You install it and enter the feeds, how often to check them, regex text replace text and the categories you want to post the feeds to on your own blog. Now as this is set on a cron job and works constantly without having to worry about it I'm not sure how your desktop version will be an improvement unless you pack it full of loads of useful features that wouldn't be possible to add to the plugin version.


Anyway that's just my initial thoughts.

I know that exists plugins, but they full our needs?
One example of futire improvement will be re-upload images (sometimes images only can be served from the main server and if we link them, we have a meesage of "hotlink no allowed").

Well mainly i will add usefull functions for us, this is why i´m developing it. Not sure if you are speaking about wp-robot plugin... it is powerfull but soon or later you have to touch the plugin core functions to adjust to your needs.

As i said at the moment is in a very very early stage, but better know the needs of webmasters in this stage and no too late.

Can you please explain what should i put at XML-RPC ? i don't know what.

Its very nice approach .. but in my point of view i guess it would be much more nice if this was used upon wordpress blog as a plugin or script which should be posted on a server .. like earlier posted that there is a plugin which gets rss feeds and post on your blog and we can set cron job so everything gets automated.. MY suggestion : to make a plugin which extracts data from different forums of scene releases automatically and download them extract remove files add files and upload them to our accounts and post the desired thread on to our blog.. As this should be done automatically whether plugins does it all or using the cron jobs... I know im asking alot alot much :D hehe .. but this was jut my opinion ..Cauz desktop application is not automated.. we cant leave our computer all day long to just updated our blog.. as if this is web base script so it would be much better :) .. 2nd if the desktop application is integrated with all the features i posted above then still its useless cauz for upploading/doiwnloading extracting/compressng u need a really good internet connection + a high end pc .. Thankyou :)
 
@babarali124: windows vps exists. Functions that you name will be covered into future, a desktop application is automated exactly like any other applycation.

Europe: wprobot, XML-RPC is the xmlrpc.php url of your blog, you have to enable XML-RPC posting into wordpress write settings.

Dl4uall: you have to enable XML-RPC posting into wordpress write settings and XML-RPC is the xmlrpc.php url of your blog
 
xmlrpc enable for my blog. does not working for me :(

Supply the url that fails... if you describe your error i can fix it... i can´t imagine which is the "another site" in ehich you get error.

I can´t test all www blogs... i tested on some XxX blogs bymyslef...

Edit: i tested rlslog, works prefectly.... you are doing something bad. I bet that you not setup correctly the xml-rpc url of your blog.

Anyways i uploaded an updated version, now it can load/save a list of feeds.
