I think you all guys aware of popular messenger service of Microsoft, Windows Live messenger, which is going to retire in 15 march 2013, so users have to use "Skype" for chatting.
* Microsoft fully acquired skype (100%) in 13 October 2011 for US$8.5 billion and become a division of Microsoft.
* Microsoft messneger users are alerted to "merge skype and MSN accounts" .
So how to chat with live messenger contacts..?
Download latest version of "skype"
Latest Stable version: http://www.skype.com/go/getskype-msi
Latest Beta vrsion: http://www.skype.com/go/getskype-beta
then login with your live/msn credentials in skype by clicking "Microsoft Account".

2) click merge with skype
3) then it ask for your skype account, to which the MSN account to be merged.
enter skype username/password
ok.
That's all, now all your msn messenger contacts are visible in skype itself
Everytime you have to login using the "Microsoft account", so only merged contacts are available in your account

Normal skype login = only skype contacts
Login using microsoft account login = skype + live messenger contacts
Atleast it reduced one extra messenger from Pc :-= Don't forgot to delete the old messenger garbage in pc atleast it give small extra space

Only Chat and messenger system is merged, so you can use your live mail as normal.
