I am getting the dreaded 404 error when I go into the sub forums. I am currently on windows hosting under a subdomain so I am not quite sure if that is the problem. If there is anyone familiar with this issue I would greatly appreciate the assistance.

yes, I've googled till I am blue, and not I look like a damn smurf. :D I cannot for the life of me figure it out so I started a secondary forum to test the setting and am currently in the process of setting it up and trying from scratch.

thank you.

Have you got mod_rewrite enabled on your server? Usually if the .htaccess file isn't working you'll receive 404 errors.

that I do not know. I am hosted on a shared windows server.

Just figured it out, needed to use web.config instead of .htaccess. All is good now. I found one site that stated what to due and had to remember it before the wife took over the computer.

In VBSeo installation package, there's a folder htaccess, look into there, you'll see rewrite rules for isapi.

I am not so sure about how to add these rules to IIS, you should be changing to a Linux host for using PHP&Mysql.
