US or EU for downloads website?

Hey,

US or EU for downloads website?

Say you want to start downloads website, with download links of rapidshare, etc....

Where is it better to buy dedicated server to host the website, in EU or US? like laws, etc.....

You can start with a shared hosting until you start getting a huge amount of traffic. US goes under DMCA restrictions so get a host with offshore hosting. EU in your case.

Well, you always can use hosts located in Brazil, Netherlands, Hongkong and many other "off-shore" places.. I don't feel Germany is safe anymore to host such sites. Btw if you follow complaints without bitching you can host in USA like many other big sites around
