Transfering Blogger Posts to Word Press and SEO Ramifications

Hi everyone,

I'm about to transfer over my blog posts from a previous blog to my new one. I was wondering, if once the posts are on my new blog before i make it live, and delete the old one while changing a few things here and there on the posts, will these get indexed as fresh content if Google has nothing to reference anymore that they were from somewhere else?

If you are transferring the old content to the new one, and you are not telling the SE about this, then the next time the SE crawler comes and visits your blog it will not find the content at the original place. You need to tell the SE about this that you are transferring the site to a new location. Use a 301 redirect for this purpose. And if you change the content Google will not think of it is fresh content. But it will index the changes though.
