It will bring a bit of traffic. Not much, but in some of them your not required to code the links. This is important as it's counted as a link back which Google will follow so can help with SEO. As you can write the text yourself you can fill your post with great keywords and have attributes for your link and around your link unlike say buying a text link in a site footer where it's just surrounded by other links so Google doesn't give importance to.
If your not following me: Google looks at the text that surrounds a link. Not just the link itself. 90% of links are surrounded by crap but in the posts you make you can, if clever surround it with well chosen keywords which Google will love.
Another thing though. If these posts you write are all the same Google will ignore them. Each of these posts you write has to be unique as Google loves unique content and doesn't give near as much importance to duplicate content.
That's my tip for today and it works for everything.
