do you allow portforwarding on the openvpn server?

what is portforwarding means?
am i put this in my modem config?

depending in how you have the VPN setup. If you had it setup just in your PC with the dedicated IP package then we forward all of the ports except the VPN ones to your PC. If you have a router which allows you to input VPN settings so your entire network goes through the VPN then you would need to tell you router to point e.g. Port 80 to your web server that is connected to that router.

In what sense do you mean port forwarding? Do you mean that you will be able to browse to website that require ports e.g. :8192 or do you mean so that the IP which you have been allocated points to a specific port on your PC/Server i.e. 3192

The reason why we wouldn't port forward on the shared plan is because if its a shared IP then many people would use it, this means that more than 1 person could want to forward port 80 to their PC on that IP. That's why we offer a dedicated IP so that people can do that if they wanted to, the dedicated IP also means that their VPN IP will never change meaning that any websites they use that may authenticate or check if your meant to be logged in from that IP instead of cookies in the browser can do so.
