im seeing it happen more and more all teh time,from the so called "respected" members here,not contributing and helping people,but trolling threads and making retarded replys,going off topic etc. Isnt teh point of this rank because you are respected by the whole community and not just your buddies?

i think this could be resolved simply by stripping people that do things like this all teh time of there rank as "respected member" as it doesnt look good for new members,or even old ones imo,that maybe truly deserve this rank

i know i wont be popular for saying this,as there are a ton of "respected" members that do these things

Your right, when i was here before it was the exact same and i can still see that it is mostly the same, your right though and something ddoes need to change, only thing is.. will it ? 8-)

@ Devilz DEMANDING things isnt a way to go man.. would like to know wht people think is all.. i am just personally tired of seeing it over and over again so called "respected" members when someone asks for help reply with "fail" or soemthing stupid like that
 
iMage, please PM me a list of the users that you think doesn't qualify for the "respected member" group and I will discuss this matter with the staff.

A few months back respected ranked members were those who were most active in WJ and used to help new members and others as much as they can.
But not now, I also see people only passing time, being inactive, just seeing a thread and posting offtopic or shit things, not even trying to help a member in something they can like GFX or so ,etc etc

I would also like ElJ to check the logs and see himself and if possible do a bit of cleanup
 
nah im not going to name names.or anything to tht effect sandvik.. but im sure if you check yourself daily,especially in forums like Community co-op and help topics you will notice it alot
 
Thing that i have noticed is respected/trusted = Spamming SB talking shit in topics...

Not all of them but well yeah most of them.
 
ya that is the exact kind of thing i am talking about.. +1 or whtever doesnt really contribute,and its not just respected members that do it.But tht rank should mean more to ya then it seems to be for some people jsut a cool color with a little badge to show off in the chatbox.

plz if your going to let your opinion on this topic known,please make it more then jsut a +1 or lol or whtever,contribute to the community eh

i agree with you on many bases, A lot of people are respected and don't even have say 1K post, May not have even been around for a While.

A few of our most active members are Respected. Then their are many with life's that also can not be on WJ all day long as well.

But the point you made the most is the fact about benifical post

See Image i agree with you partly but you can't strip of their titles like that only

They are respected members of the forum though inactive You can give them a warning or a notice before stripping them of their title for a stipulated period of time

When the person doesn't do anything within the stipulated time then u can strip them off their usertitle

The thing is that the forum has to maintain according to some stuffs

Admins and staff have to keep an eye on everyone they can't just go around saying the user is inactive

Maybe the user must have personal problems or some other reasons

in my opinion a time notice and a notice should be given if the user fails to show some activeness then it can be thought of removing the user from the title

yes i agree Respected doesnt necessarily need to be by how many posts you have,or activity in general (altho tht does help of course) but the quality of your posts,and helping members of teh community
 
There should be some rulez.

Before getting respected.

Minimum of 1000 posts. ( only 30% of them can be offtopic/bullshit posts. )
Voted my other respected members ( still main word will stay for the staff )
Needs to be active in Co-Op

Rules to get removed from respected.

If respected is spamming in posts and is being abusive towards other members.
If respected is not active.


You can figure out the rules by yourself but right now 60% of the respected should loose the rank.

I think the new mods are doing a great job.

@ voted by other respected members, That needs to be done by admins as certain people dont get a long on the forum. So that would be unfair,

@ being not active, You dont have to be active to be respected as me for example i work four days a week 12 hours a day. So im usually only really active three days a week that agian would be Unfair.

Simple thing to do is if you look show all posts by member you will get 200 latest posts.
If 199 of them are bullshit then there is nothing to think about.
Its not that we have 50 new respected members a day so yeah its not a big work.
