Hello there,
I don't know if this is the best place to ask for some help and advice.

I am putting little knowledge of visual basic I have in developing a SEO related freeware (or maybe open-source) software.

What does this do?
Not much. Its not for the big SEO guys out there but for new and inexperienced webmasters who don't know how to start with SEO.
This software will produce Google search queries and thus help find you relevant blogs and forums for your SEO efforts.

Not a very great idea but eliminates making Google searches for queries.

Now the sponsorship part.
I don't need any money or anything premium. You can help me with what you are good at.

To start with, the software needs a name. I tried to play around and came up with some rubbish and some fancy names. Here are a few:
Expoogle (Explore + Google)
Big G Blueprints
G-Finder
Blueprint Doodle
I don't wish to use the word Google in the name.


A logo....maybe a simple magnifying glass. I am working on it. Maybe you can inspire me or throw some ideas at me. You may use your skills and create something genuine...anyway you can help me.


Someone with VB skills. Who knows his/her way around simple VB commands. I did VB some 3 years back and haven't been practicing them, so I can rely on you for guidance (in case I face some issue).


Finally some people who can help me test it. Favorably people who know SEO to pick out flaws and develop it further.


Everyone who helps me gets a name in credits section and some cookies :D

good thinking mikeee you should use Expoogle for software name and i can also design a logo for your software that' all i can do for now

I think I'll wait for a few more replies before finalizing a name.
and I would be glad to have a logo.

I can do my best to help you with VB.NET. I'm not a pro, but I have some knowledge in VB.NET which you may need :) I just hope you are not working in VB 6 like some peoples around here <_<
 
You can use a name like GoogleX , XGoogle , Googleye .... contact me on msn , roughs0ul at hotmail *dot* come, may be we can brainstorm togather.

Not sure if I wanna include Google in the name...but thanks for suggestion...will catch you on IM

Visual Studio 8 (or 9)...either ways...it should work fine :)
