Well my site wrzscene.info and another site(its down atm) at some points of day eat up a lot of server resources, i dont know the reason why, like wrzscene.info is taking 4% resources atm according to my hosting provider but at one point it was 24% of resources which caused the server provider to kick me out :(.

The only reason i have found can be the google xml sitemaps plugin but i am not sure if anything else can be causing this

I have tried wp super cache once but diabled it as it didnt refresh content quickly which were edited.

Can anyone give me some suggestion etc to improve my sites resource optimization

thanks

first to help as usual MR Happy :),
here are the plugins

Akismet
All in One SEO Pack
BBCode
Login LockDown
Twitter Tools
WP-PageNavi
WP Auto Tagger
Yet Another Related Posts Plugin

also was using Google XML sitemaps but have disabled that

Ok I'm not familiar with all those plugins but the ones I recognize are fine. Try disabling them one at a time and see if that makes a difference. Wordpress is heavy on resources but only becomes a problem when the site is very large.

If I was you I'd use the wordpress cache plugin. It really does help a lot.

Using most of the plugins plus more without any problems.

Try adding WP Minify to help compress your css and js files,

WP Super Cache is good. you might need to adjust some of the settings to notice a difference

Tell your host to give you the logs of what is running when the server is "over usage". He should be ale to see what programs are causing the high cpu or if it is MySQl do a process list to see which Mysql commands are slowing the access down.

^^ Great idea. If you can't figure out the logs post them here and we'll find the problem.

i will ask my provider for the logs, but can anyone tell me the exact settings i need to do on wp super cache and is it heavy on resources?

P.S. should i use W3 Total Cache or WP Super Cache Plugin?
