This is a scam report relating to sales thread:
As I mainly upload to Fileserve I decided to order a US package on March 18. At signup there was no possibility to specify where you would like to have sBorg so I assumed they'll contact you to ask.
Instead I was thrown straight away, against my will, on the NL server.
Deciding to keep a positive view, I did 5 test uploads.
- Upload to all hosts was terrible (around 300Kbs).
This was confirmed by other members on thew sales thread.
- After 10 minutes of waiting the torrent was not started.
After making a ticket, I offered them to either refund me or move me to
the US server.
After 10 hours still no reply. And the server went down.
In their conditions:
- Any Refund Available?
- We offer 7 day unconditional money back guarantee if your service went down anytime or its not working..
I was neither moved to the US server or received a refund as asked in the first ticket.
Then on 23:09 I asked again for a reply.
On 19 March / 09:12 iPowerz replied:
'We are going to move this server to new server which will give you good speeds.'
Although not what I asked for, I decided to wait and see if things would improve.
Then at 18:32 (after more than 9 hours of downtime) Ipowerz replies:
'The process is completed, check your sborg now
'
Then finally 18 hours after my payment the new server is up.
But it's still doom and gloom:
- Transmission is not working
- Test upload results in:
======================================
Fileserve: serverUploading empty reply
Filesonic: cannot connect to server
Depositfiles: cannot connect server
======================================
Then on 19 March 23:26 I make a final request (a repeat of my previous request):
===================================================
Please let me make a final request:
- Move me to a US server or
- Refund immediately (according to your conditions).
No other alternatives are accepted.
===================================================
Instead of refunding me according to the TOS, iPowerz does another attempt in keeping my money or tell me that Fileserve has problems because they do a three week mainteneance.
This is pure nonsense, as I get excellent speeds on my offshore (UK) RDP (both FTP and Zoom) and on my onshore Rapidleech (Donkiehost).
On April 3, I give MyRapidleech,net a last chance to refund or post this scam report and make a dispute.
iPowerz answers: How can you expect to get a refund if your service did expire on April 1?
'it stayed that refund only if service is down or not working and our server hasn't given even one downtime in the last month.'
It seems they simply don't get it. The service already expired after I asked for a refund on March 19 went the NL server went down
for over 9 hours and the service was unusable.
Simply, don't buy anything from these scammers. For me, six dollars is nothing, but I want to warn all those with fewer resources for these scammers.
Note to Moderator: I will wait another 24 hours with filing a dispute with Paypal. Perhaps a moderator can intermediate in forcing a refund from this seller which promises a refund in case a server goes down.
I have a copy from ticket thread at your disposal.
