This was the first theme I used on SceneRLS :P

You should get a custom logo + favicon,

and enable comments for visitors (add a captcha code to avoid bot spammers)

Remove the login panel from the sidebar (that's if you don't intend on letting anyone and everyone sign-up - I'd not do that if I were you ).

Make sure you've Google Sitemap installed, and if you plan on submitting to Katz, contact Whoo as I remember he used to sell an Auto WordPress to WCDDL submitter for cheap .
