Yes it is possible. Before login to RDP, go to setting and enable go to Local Sources -> Go to External Sound Settings -> Enable the Sound Settings to be playable in RDP Mode.
Then Login and you will be able to hear the volume.
Keep in mind that RDP will be a bit slower then normal because it must transfer the sound in real time.
