Hi everyone,
I've been running a XXX forum for over 10 years. It has almost 30k members and several million posts. The forum is similar to pornBB, but it has a VIP section where passwords for porn sites are posted.
The forum used to have a lot of traffic and it would generate around 1,000 USD in profit monthly. Since I run the forum alone and back then I had little experience dealing with technical stuff, I decided to make the forum private after several server crashes and other problems.
Because of that decision, both the traffic and revenue dropped considerably. The forum has still been generating an average revenue of around $3,000 yearly since 2015.
I spend $300 yearly on a dedicated server and the domain, so the average revenue is around 2,700 USD (yearly).
All the profit is generated via VIP memberships. The majority of the profit comes from members who have been renewing their memberships for years, so that is income that is almost guaranteed to keep coming for the foreseeable future.
The current traffic is very little, so I won't even bother sharing traffic stats. The forum has A TON of fresh quality content though, this is content that could generate organic traffic if the forum was open and it's content that could be monetized in a number of ways.
For example, if you already have a porn blog, you could keep the forum private and sell access to it to your current traffic. You could open the forum to generate organic traffic and place ads.
There are also almost 30k members (most of them inactive) that you could bring back. There are also almost 30k email addresses that you could profit from.
I intend to keep the forum going if nobody is interested in buying it, for this reason, I prefer not to share the URL here. I'd be more than happy to privately show a mod proof of domain ownership, earnings, and/or anything else that is needed.
