Hello together! I moved with a quite complex site already 1 year ago to another domain. I changed CMS, causing URL and content structure changes, so no 1:1 Redirect was possible for all previous URLs. I made a list with with redirects in the htaccess as comprehensive as possible. However, some pages were still not transfered from the old domain as they didn't have an equivalent in the new domain. I created a dynamic redirect rule for modRewrite 10 days ago to redirect all remaining contents ( approx. 500 URLs ) to the homepage of the new domain. I am not a seo pro and now, 10 days later, I realized that this may cause a rank penalty. Some of the old URLs may have had a rank penalty, others had already a good ranking. I have no idea, if I should revert the changes now and create equivalents on the new domain ( the URLs I am talking about seem still to be in Google's index ) or do nothing and "sit out" the problem. Any idea how to proceed is much appreciated.
