Totally agree but maybe they did it to make it more realistic? For example reptile looks like a lizard doesn't he, so they make it look like he had a fucked up disease. Because think about it, if some kid was born as a lizard the hole army would be on it in no time and there for it would be hard to make a movie about it. So probably easier to make it have a rare disease.

Hopefully they can pull it off. A Mortal Kombat movie hasn't been out in ages. Haven't seen a good fighting movie in ages, because that last street fighter was fucking shit.
