Hello -
I have a shared hosting account now with a host that seems to answer support tickets once a day, plus has some weird server limits. So this is driving me away from that service.
I understand email limits and I am not in the business of spamming. Right now I am trying to find a job outside of my state (Michigan) and am using a bulk email program to load CL job listings from areas we are interested to moving to into it to send out. I usually get the postings from the previous day, load them into a bulk sending program, and fire away. I use cron jobs to throttle the amount of emails being send per hour. I do filter what I get from CL from scams and spam. I use the bulk emailer so I can track who opened what email so I can follow up later.
Right now I am with a host that only allows 50 per hour, has wierd safe-mode limitations, and won't answer more than 1 support ticket a day. Plus I have to use an external cron service to run the cron script because their cpanel install is jacked.
I like VPS not because of the 'guaranteed' resource, but because of the control I have over it. I was looking at the webthosting vps plan, but then read so not--so--favorable threads about them.
I would like to keep this offshore.
Anyone have any ideas?
Obviously this needs to have good uptimes as well...
