Yeah that's cool everyone knows backlinks are good, no backlinks is bad.
But I think it will be nice to elaborate more here, give some advice as for where to start from. When I only started building backlink profile for my website I felt a bit of lost as for where I should begin from. So I went to one of those backlink checking online websites (like opensiteexplorer.org or moonsearch.com) and just checked where my competitors get most of their traffic. I've chosen websites that suit me too and started leaving links manually where it was possible. If someone has a different strategy I will appreciate sharing.
