Consultation with RAID option

Hi. I have a question with dedicated servers. I saw that give the option to use RAID configuration. These can be 0, 1, 5 or 10, as I have seen.


But how is resulado. Is it software or hardware ?.
If the server is 4 HDD, RAID 5 would be 1 HDD operating system and 3 for the RAID? A RAID 0 would be 1 + 3 HDD HDD?
Example software:
A configuration very view:
HP Proliant with 4x2TB
- RAID 0 = 1x2TB + 3x2TB HDD?
- RAID 1 = ???
- RAID 5 = 1x2TB + 3x2TB HDD?



If the RAID is hardware, all disks are used in RAID?
Example hardware:
A configuration very view:
HP Proliant with 4x2TB
- RAID 0 = 4x2TB HDD = 8TB?
- RAID 1 = 4x2TB HDD = 4TB?
- RAID 5 = 4x2TB HDD = 6TB?

Hola. Tengo una duda con los servidores dedicados. He visto que dan la opción de usar RAID en la configuración. Estos pueden ser 0, 1, 5 ó 10, según he visto.


Pero cómo queda el resulado. ¿Es por software o por hardware?.
Si el servidor es de 4 HDD, ¿un raid 5 sería 1 HDD como sistema operativo y 3 para el RAID? ¿Un RAID 0 sería 1 HDD + 3 HDD?


Si el RAID es por hardware, ¿se usan todos los discos en los RAID?
Ejemplo software:
Una configuración muy vista:
HP Proliant con 4x2TB
- ¿RAID 0 = 1x2TB + 3x2TB HDD?
- ¿RAID 1 = ???
- ¿RAID 5 = 1x2TB + 3x2TB HDD?
