1&1 has a sneaky TOS

Once they wanted me to renew my .com domain for 98$
 
Don't use either of them, but it really doesn't matter what domain registrar you go to, they are all owned by one company which holds control of all domain names.

I Dont know for you,but i got 7 domain renewals for free,from them.

Also, i use 1&1 to much. they dont allow warez on their hosting,but they dont care about the domain names.

Dont use either, they will delete your accounts without notice if they find out your hosting warez, and you wont get a refund...just stick with an offshore host or offshore server
You can get some free domains from them though if you want to, with dreamhost I had 9 free domain names with my hosting, worked out to be the same as registering them myself at godaddy though after everything
 
Yeah I've heard bad things about both. Like Im.z said, NameCheap is the way to go, always hear good stuff about em and I've been satisfied using them as my registrar for all of my domains.
 
Thanks for the advice! My first off-shore host turned out to be a bad experience (down for last two days, maybe disappeared entirely). Anyone try the one with banner at the top of this page: Warez-Host.com? If I buy reseller, I will offer a few cheap accounts on this forum, to make up the cost. My resource needs will be pretty low in the beginning. I don't want a shared environment where a couple creeps use all the resources and CPU/memory always hovering in red... Domain names I have already, with privacy for free.

never heard good things about warez-host

try webden.org for shared
 
most of hosts will be ok with porn/adult unless its ***************** and about warez,well there can never be save heavens :)
