Why are they both put together?

It seems that everyone there is talking about PayPal, AlertPay etc and no one is talking about actual eCommerce stuff.

I don't see there being much use by having "E-Commerce" in the forum title.

My point is eCommerce is huge, this is like having a PHP & vBulletin as a singular forum, they're both related but I don't see why they'd get put together.

eCommerce is generally considered to be an integral part of the Payment Systems (or vice versa, I suppose).

So if Paypal and Alertpay, for example, are payment systems; Plimus, Fastspring, etc and the rest account as eCommerce systems because they're not payment systems in themselves, they integrate with paypal/alertpay, etc.

The fact that people are only talking about Paypal and Alertpay is true, but having eCommerce in the title is an effective direction for anyone who wants to talk about eCommerce. Having it as a separate section is not quite desirable (low activity).
