Dupe Content Question

Say if I delete a post on my WP site and repost it and get the same pretty permalink as the old deleted one, will google count my repost as Dupe ?

content is considered dupe when the same post is also made on other site too i guess but u are just editing your post so i dont think so that it will be counted as duplicate content

Thanks mate, but the case was not about editing a post, it's about deleting and reposting it. I'm asking this because although the post has the same permalink as the deleted one, the post date changes when we repost it.

if the permalink is the same google will see its only edited

Nope. It'll count it as an updated/edited post.

But, if you have a post with the same permalink and make a new post with same content and just a modified permalink, then it'll be considered as duplicate.

To prevent duplicate posts, install this plugin : http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/delete-duplicate-posts/
It'll delete the posts based on duplicate titles, so its better for SEO.
