Hmmm ...

I just logged and saw some sort of Decoder, which by the time I got my Code together, now appears to have Disappeared? So I thought I would post it up anyway, if we have any Crypto Programmers in our midst, you can give this one a lash, it's quite straight forward, and I actually programmed it decades ago, this particular encoding was done in my C# Crypto Program and is not a serious Cryptographic Cipher, and not based on SHA1, RSA or indeed on any of the complex digests and the like, and could easily be decoded using any language whatsoever, eg. JavaScript etc - Not currently going to give out any clues, but would be interested to see if any of you can come up with the Solution - I have set it a few times, and to my surprise have never had anyone come up with the right answer! - Please - No requests for a Prize!

I dont think you must be a Programmer! and also that your first language must not be English? or if is, it may just be that you are not able to read and understand simple dialog. I have already said in the Post that I programmed the Crypto Cipher way back in the 80's, and I set the challenge, so I know exactly what the decoded solution is! I just thought it may just be a good challenge for any budding cryptographer in your midst that thinks that they are good at cryptography, and are up for a challenge. It makes absolutely no difference to me whether you want to have a go or not ... and by your comments it justs shows me that you know nothing about cryptography, and are not up to the challenge, and wouldn't be able to crack it in any case, even if I did offer a substantial prize! .... and did in fact do that a long time ago, and still had no takers! ...

If this is the type of negative response you get on here, perhaps it's better I dont come back ... eh ...

If you are not interested to help then simply ignore that thread and dont reply, Not everyone here is to pay for everything.

I am sure WJ staff will take care of such reaction so dont loose the grip on WJ :)

I am currently taking class for cryptography, should have taken the challenge but sorry no time yet.

Good luck

Hello mRAza ...

Thanks for the comments, refreshing change when someone takes time out to actually read the posts, and looks at a situation objectively. When I post this up, I will correct the obvious and glaring spelling errors I made in the post, as usual, I type at break-neck speed then don't re-visit to proof read ... also for anyone wanting to look at the challenge, for some reason the code line picks up a space between the A and 0 not sure why, although I seem to remember having a few problems years ago when I wrote my first Perl Forum Software, when, in certain circumstances some text was evaluated as a hex pick-up.

I have been programming since 1979 and in the early years, mostly ASM Programming for most of the modern CPU's starting with the Z80 and the Texas TMS990, later for the Motorola CPU's including the 6502, 6800 and 68000 processors, writing my own Assemblers, Dis-Assemblers(sometimes cross and macro) including development on multi-pass label building techniques.

I wish you well on your Cryptography journey, complex as it is! and would recommend - if your really serious about it! - do a search on GCHQ, both for James H.Ellis and Clifford C.Cocks there was some good guidance, although Ron, Adi and Len produced the first commercial powerful algorithm in RSA named after them, it was Cliff who developed the principle first, and there was some excellent papers of explanation available, but there again it was many years ago I checked, although I do keep archive records if of interest! Read up on Number Theory and read up on Euclid theories, will help you so much if you intend doing it properly!
