curl problem

i am trying to use a script which uses curl funtion , i am facing this problem on my centos vps
it says

Fatal error: Call to undefined function curl_init() in
/home/public_htm/index.php on line 25

i tried google , i came to know this is because of curl i installed curl , but still same problem ,
curl is installed but it is not be shown in the info.php file
please help me how to solve this

are your sure that cURL is installed ?

any way, try
yum install php-curl

restart apache ..
service httpd restart

then check phpinfo()

i did it already , but curl support is not shown in phpinfo()

If curl is not installed on your hosting servers then you this error executes.

curl is installed on my vps
i checked using
curl -V

i have installed curl
removed ; from extension=php_curl.dll
restarted service httpd
but still same problem

I think i have build php with curl using source code
but i don't have any idea how plz guide me
