Buying a script and runnig a warez site with it

Someone here who bought a script (link directory, bulletin board, etc.) and now runs a warez site with it? Is this safe? I am unsure if it is a good idea to provide name, address, paypal account etc. to a company that sells such scripts.

yes its is safe, only what will happen for example if you have a movie on your site and company will found out , they will send you a notice to remove it. But keep in mind use an offshore host for warez.

no offense, but you are thinking too far ahead into the feature, no way you will have any dmca problems anytime soon if you are starting off.

if you get your own vb license, that is just 1 less dmca you get.
mostly the only way you will get into trouble is if you host the files, if you have a warez linking board, don't worry about it.

I don't think they have done that but im not sure. If you want to be safe then install phpBB which is free.

As for them giving out your information, they wouldn't be the ones giving out your information. If anything, your web hosting provider and or domain provider would be the one giving out your information to authorities.

i don't think vbulletin has the right to tell you what you can or cannot post using their software.
That's like microsoft telling you you cannot write threatening letters to people. lol (just an example)

Or Linux telling you you can't hack with the OS

They wont help you with the support if something goes wrong.

That makes no sense ...
I have a valid copy of IPB and was running a warezboard on it . And they always helped me when I had problems or questions.
Perhaps VB is different :P

Last time i checked Vb doesn't mind using their engine for warez forums... as long as you don't provide link to nulled Vb :P

Yup that's what im saying :D

They allow you to but it but once they find out its a warez forum they wont help you.
