Bought some stuff from Hongkong, but no update of tracking number yet, any help ?

Hello Friends,

1 week ago I bought something from ebay and it was shipped on 8th feb 2012 from hong kong, I also got a tracking number.

the site to track it is

but when I put my tracking number I see nothing about it. it's already 1 week now, I have bought stuff from same seller in past and i always have got it and the tracking details get's updated within 2-3 working days but this time it's a week now :(

I also contacted the seller and he said the the tracking number is 100% correct and he surely have shipped it.

Any idea about what is happening ? is there any problem in hong kong post right now ? anybody else bought something around 5-10 feb from hong kong ? is there any reason in hong kong which is causing this delay ?

I have also sent emails to HK post but got no reply yet.

Any Help will be appreciated, Thanks.

I have purchased stuff from same seller nearly 20 times last year and all came within 10 days.. this time it's 7 days and no update on tracking number :(

I am worried as the stuff's cost is more than 500USD

there can be 2 things

1. The Seller is Trying to Scam.
2. HongKong post didn't scanned the package yet in their systems.

So can anybody help me ?
 
Ask your Seller to check the Status of Shipment via Tracking Number.
You cant able to do anything from your premises but he can do inquire from where he Shipped your Packet ...[Its his responsibility to Ship the Package Properly]

Thanks for your letter,pls do not worry ,we just get the answer from the post office ,
it said they still have not update the information of your parcel .we really have sent the parcel to the post office ,
and Accroding to our experience, sometimes, the custom received the item but the website still didn't been updated. U know that the information in the website cannot been updated in time, but in fact that the item is in transit.
pls have a patience to wait another 24 hour or more than 24 hours to check it again .

Once i had the same problem.
Delivery time was 3 weeks and i got tracking number after 2 weeks.
Hong Kong postal service is shit but usually i got my tracking number in week or so.
 
^Cooper thanks for your reply, but did you got your tracking number from seller after 2 weeks or did the tracking number started showing in tracking site after 2 weeks from ur receiving ? also tell me when did it happened with u ?
 
was it paid or free shipping?
but yeah hongkong postal service sucks,
my items were mostly arrived in 1 to 1.5 month,

but pricewise it was worth the wait.
 
man that is not an issue, I just want to know does it happens that u get tracking number but when u put it in the tracking site it doesn't work ? for more than a week ? does that happens or doesn't ? Because if that is normal then I can chill and wait, but if that is not normal then it maybe a scam so I will dispute ASAP

I got tracking number 2 weeks after items were shipped.
Then one time i had tracking number and it didnt work for 11-12 days,after that it started working again.

I think you should wait up to 2 weeks before you start dispute
 
^hmm so you mean it can be a problem by hongkong post department, my seller is not doing any fraud with me....

anyways sent 4 emails to hongkong post but no reply from them. do they sleep at worktime ?

also please tell me when did that happened to you? in 2012 or 2011 ?

Guyz also tell me 1 more thing, does HK post online tracking updates automatically or does the workers updates it manually ?

in that case there should be any info about the tracking number.

also I have purchased same kind of stuff many times from same seller. and always got on time

Just checked and saw that the tracking number's info has been updated on HK post tracking site :D
