blazingfast.io VPS, and Control Panel

Hi Boys,

For a second Project (my Main Project is with KnownSRV) i ordered a VPS with www.blazingfast.io - i know the Server are not managed, but they have a nice DDOS Protection. I really dont know anything from Servers, so i prefer to use managed Services. Nevermind, they told me to install Security Updates for me. And they installed zPanel as Control Panel. The Problem now: I think zPanel is not really secure, and in the XenForo Install Process, there was a Warning because old PHP Version. The installed PHP is 5.3.3, pretty old hmm? They told me, that the VPS is up-to-date atm. So what should i do now? Is there another free Control Panel that offers a new PHP Version?

Or is there a Server Expert who could help me for small Money to make my VPS secure?

Current php version is 5.6 (php7 will be released on the 12th), php5.3 is not updated anymore.

As for control panel i use ispconfig.
Easy to install, but takes some time and you need to know to work with ssh.
