No one host can't beat my VPS price i think

There is a difference between dedicated resources and oversold resources. One could allocate all the RAM from Node(let's say 32GB) and charge $5/month for this but what's the point? You get 100s VPS sharing this per same Node / resources, you basically get shared hosting with root access.

Thanks Kruno for your observation.
(I have 2 domains registered with you, and before you were attacked DDoS really a bad story.... i also had a VPS)
But now I do not have much money, and I need a server minimum for a year with a minimum 100GB HD 512/1GB RAM to upload many images.
what do you recommend?

Thank you very mutch.

Hi,

True, but that situation helped us to get out of crappy providers and networks we were stuck with, invest the money to buy enterprise equipment and place it to premium datacenters / networks. The result? 2013. year is the best year ever for us, in every aspect. KnownSRV is bigger, better and stronger than ever!

Anyhow, I PM'd you to see what I can do to help.

Kruno

Hi,
There are lots of hosting providers out there who are not that well known but offer good Shared/VPS plans at an affordable price and better service than some of the famous web hosting companies. You should check in the advertising sections of forums to find the latest offers and discounts. Do read the customer feedback via reviews to get an idea about the company's service quality. Also you could always opt for a monthly plan initially and then go for a yearly plan once you are satisfied with the hosting service of that company. If not, then you can always change to a different web host. :dan:

Do you really need those specs based on past usage? There are probably some budget hosts who may be able to meet those requirements but not many who will be reliable or provide consistent performance (at those prices nodes begin to get oversold and performance may degrade significantly). If possible try and find a host that has been around for a long-time and is known for consistent uptime and performance.

There are many web hosting company available you can select according to your requirement and budget. However a good web hosting is the one that will provide 24/7 technical support and at least 99% server uptime. There are also other web hosting features that you can consider like security, data access speed, data backup and flexibility to upgrade/downgrade plan according to your need.
