I know that there are already many posts in this section explaining how to promote a website using SEO, but yet, there are no posts that compile the most effective methods in a quick, comprensible and easy to implement guide. As a consequence, I have decided to make this post to cover all the productive SEO methods and make sure that everyone has a knowledge of them.

On Page SEO: This is the base of SEO. On page optimization basically involves optimizing your website code and content for all webpages. It includes Metatag optimization, Title Tag Optimization, Image Alt Tag Optimization (<img alt="Image title here">), Setting titles for the internal links (e.g. Visit the Graphical Service Page instead of using the plain Click here), setting adequate name for different files on your site and creating a
sitemap for it. It also implies clearing your URL (e.g. changing company.mysite.com/subdomain1/subdomain2/index.html to mysite.com) and setting your description tag.

Consistently add more content: Search engines love fresh and relevant content. By updating your website continuously with informative, high quality articles and pages, you are constantly messaging the search engine robots to re-check your website and index it for more keywords. Apart, adding more to your content will also provide your visitors a reason to come back and add
to the searchability of your site:The more pages your site has indexed in the Search Engines, the more's the probability of your website being found!

Get involved in Social Media! It is a great way to develop followers for your website! Apart, becoming active on social networking sites will bring you traffic as well as develop backlinks. The aim of this method of promotion to get social with people interested in your niche on the web while promoting your site at the same time. Keep an eye on the type of your Web Content: Creating outstanding and intriguing web content is a must. Your web content should inevitably be related to your niche. Forum and Blog Linkbuilding: This is one of the cheapest, fastest and yet the most effective link building stategies. Basically, it consists of making informative posts on forums and comments on blogs and adding your site's link to your signature or username. You can also Add your participate in discussions and use your anchor link in it. This, first of all, brings some backlinks to your site (imagine if you only make 30 posts with your website's link in your forum signature - that's 30
manual, high quality backlinks already). And, second, if your posts and comments are of good quality, there are huge chances that visitors reading them will proceed to your website and read it, and there's even a good chance that part of these visitors will become your customers.
For this particular method, I recommend using high
PageRank blogs and forums, as well as those that have the nofollow atribute set off. The latter means that Search Engines will continue to your site if they find your link on these sites, and the former, that these blogs and forums will influence a lot on your Search Engine positioning.
9. The Lazy Method: Finally, if you are lazy, or just don't have time available to implement any of the methods outlined above, you can just order SEO services from a SEO company. But even if you chose this option, make sure that you understant what each of the SEO tactics is about, and what the SEO company is really able to provide you with. And finally, have in mind that not all SEO "specialists" are really able to cope with their promises and claims. Do not let false SEO experts rip you off - always choose a credible company when ordering your SEO services.
