Selling File Sharing Site for sale

Hi Aditi. Since my plan was to use coupons to give to downloaders to enable premium downloads, my idea for a PPS was a sale of coupons, instead of 'memberships'. Doing it this way makes it easier for accounting purposes. Much more difficult to defraud and impossible to hack since downloaders...

Selling File Sharing Site for sale

Proof it is here: http://www.wongafile.com/proof.txt Auction end... say end of September or untill people stop bidding. Whichever is first? Bid increments can be $1. At the moment the system is not finished. Right now you can upload, download (for pay and for free). Upload via web browser...

Selling File Sharing Site for sale

Hello all, A few weeks ago I set out to build a new file sharing site, but I really don't have as much time to spend on it as I thought I did. The site has no traffic (not yet launched) and the system is not quite 100% complete. But that's okay because I can customize for you, the buyer. I am...

New idea for FileHosts. Looking for feedback

Thanks for the info FShoppe. So how about this. At first launch, do not offer PPD reward program. Instead offer higher share PPS? This would eliminate the need for accounting (at first) and limit the risk from high number of downloads. In such a case, the PPS scheme could be more rewarding...

FileShoppe - With instant payments, and now with Paypal-Pass-Through

Uploads working great by FTP to delta. beta (the hk server) is a bit slow. I'm only getting around 100 - 200KB/s and that's with multiple files uploading at the same time. Im maxing out my 20mbit line to delta. Prob won't get many sales, but will see :)

New idea for FileHosts. Looking for feedback

How about this. They sign up for the CarrotPay service to recieve the coupons when users make payment. They coupons could then be given back to me when they have collected enough (say $20) and exchange for real cash which may include Paypal. Would that be okay? When you say file size, do you...

New idea for FileHosts. Looking for feedback

250GB free storage sounds reasonable. Not too little, and enough for free users I suppose. Do you mean max file size? Also agree. Why does a file need to be so big any way. They should split it otherwise :). 90 days seems quite long. 30 days too short. I think 60 sounds right. I might make...

New idea for FileHosts. Looking for feedback

I had two ideas in mind. 1) limit by IP, or 2) Issue coupons like you do for free. I know you have to worry about the price of files, but I won't do that so I could just issue like a 10 cent coupon and at 20 cents per gb, thats 500MB :)). I guess it depends how I handle the 'free' downloads. I...

How much can a FileHost make? Estimates?

I'm kind of curious. How much does or could a file host make? What percentage of downloads are from paying members? How many members can a new filehost realistic hope to acquire within the first 1, 2, 4 and 6 months of opperation? What kind of membership plans do people normally buy? 1 day? 1...

FileShoppe - With instant payments, and now with Paypal-Pass-Through

Do you use a customized 3rd party script? If so, where did you get it from and how much is it? If it is your own, is it for sale? How much?

    Recommendations for filehosts as mirrors

I use FileShoppe.net. They say they store files for 90 days but I'm not a paying user and I have stuff up there for like 6 months. They don't have a PPD or PPS sale so you wont be able to make money through an affiliate program. Only if you sell crap. So, if you wanna make money, prob not for you.

New idea for FileHosts. Looking for feedback

Hi Jamie, First, I have no intention to use the mainstream scripts out their. They don't fit my model/idea any way. I have been downloading quite a bit from FileShoppe and I like their pay per download (meaning, as a user I pay per file I download) system, but I want to modify it to suite my...

New idea for FileHosts. Looking for feedback

Hey everyone. First time poster here, but have been told WJunction is the place to be to get support and ideas for anything and everything hosting related. Particularily, file hosting! Righty oh!, Let's get this out of the way! I'm not a 'pirate' and not a host (yet), but I have to say, the...
