I have the most experience with NetFirms & I LOVE them because the support is great as well as their dns update times. I registered a few domains with 1&1 and it takes days for them to update dns sometimes. With Netfirms it's usually literally instantly. NameCheap is in the lead, never dealt...

Nice thread, though I'd rather register with a registrar that deals with DMCA's in other ways (meaning some that ignore altogether). This technically could be a cheaper alternative to buying outright (registering & then transferring could be cheaper if they allow you to)...
