    I would go with Linux. I don't know if you meant your system has 1GB of RAM, but if you try to run Windows on a 1GB machine, you will be seeing a lot of blue.

    Not a lot you can do if the registrar won't get involved. It's kindof weird that they won't get involved considering they're the only ones who can do anything to be honest.
