It is unmanaged hosting, it is a dedicated server with full root access and plesk though.

I think root is disabled for security reasons, hosting is doing nothing, how can I enable root? Also I am on a MacBook Pro.

2,047mb is the maximum amount you can do, I did that for it and it has updated. Also I did it through ssh and got the .sql file, I made a thread about how I couldn't access ftp or sftp as root, so I have decided to do it this way since no-one could help me fix the issue.

Can I change the settings back for security reasons once my site is up and running?

By default the size limit for importing a database in phpmyadmin is 50mb. How can I increase this? I have ssh access, full root. I need to increase it to at least 900mb, how can I do this? Thanks
