Why hasn't anybody stated the obvious yet? Modern monitors are meant to be stared at a lot, you shouldn't have a problem looking at a monitor, I do it 12+ hours a day. Go take a seeing test, you may need glasses.

Not sure if I get your question correctly but if want to fetch php code, this is not possible. Only the webserver (ex. Apache) can read a php file and it will not give you its source code.
